File Handling

Files may be submitted by email, FTP and hard-copy and file names should be descriptive.

Email Instructions:

- Email files to: artwork@vie-peopleplusplaces.com
- Email files must be less than 10Mb.

FTP Instructions:

- FTP instructions will be provided upon request.

Hard-Copy Instructions:

Files must be provided on a closed-session CD or DVD. Discs must be labeled with date submitted, issue month, advertiser or agency name, contact name, phone number, email address and file names. Discs should only include files prepared according to Vie file specifications.

File Specifications

- Press-Ready PDF (preferred)
- Adobe InDesign
- Photoshop
- Illustrator

Illustrator and InDesign:

- All associated fonts and placed photos and graphics must accompany the file(s) on disc or within a .zip file.
- All colors, graphics and photos must be saved as grayscale
or CMYK process color. All spot colors must be converted to CMYK process color.
- All photos must be flattened, at least 300 dpi at placed size and must be in .psd, .tiff or .jpg format.

Photoshop:

- Files must be flattened and at least 300 dpi at final size.
- Files must be at saved as grayscale or CMYK process color. All spot colors must be converted to CMYK process color.
